Arabic Language
Pupils are taught Arabic from beginners level up to GCSE, incorporating Islamic studies. Our unique Arabic programme is based on our own books.
Our children will be set substantial amounts of homework to consolidate the substance of their learning. We expect parents to fully support us by encouraging their children to complete their homework. We also hope that parents will take full advantage of their child's newly acquired knowledge and discuss what they have covered in class.

Reception: Learning to recognise Arabic letters by reading and writting and simple vocabulary and responding to simple instructions in Arabic.

Year: 1 –Forming simple sentences and moving onto more complex sentences in Arabic. Read, Write and understand simple texts.

Islamic Studies
Respect for ones parents, maintaining family ties and relationships with the rest of society. Avoidance of lying, cheating and back biting, pursuing academic excellence and helping those less fortunate than ourselves.
The following topics are taught in both Arabic & English:
Basic beliefs
Oneness of Allah, the messengers of Allah, Angels, divine books, day of judgement and the afterlife.
Five Pillars of Islam
Shahadah, Salah (Namaz), Zakah, Sawm and Hajj
Seerah
Studying the life of the our beloved Prohet Muhammad (SAW) and its daily implementations.
Quran & Ahadith
Study of selective texts from the two divine sources
Term Dates:
Our programme is delivered over three terms. Each term is twelve weeks long and roughly follows the school term dates.

Qur'an memorization with tajweed

Tajweed is taught from young age using colour coded quran.

Tajweed rules are taught from year 1 through GCSC according to the students level of understanding

One to one recitation is performed for young children to improve their arabic pronunciation.
Assessment:
Students will be assessed on admission. They will then be placed in a group matching their level and learning ability. Exams will take place every 16 weeks and their achievements and targets for the following term will be presented to guardians at the end of each term.
